About us
Wells Children's Centre was originally known as Wells Youth & Community Centre and was financed by Norfolk County Council. In 1999 a local user group took over the lease for the Centre, which was surplus to County Council requirements. Under the umbrella of Wells Children's Centre, full day childcare is provided for children of all ages through Polka Tots and Cool Cats. The Children's Centre also runs the Playgroup and Toddler Group. We aim to provide excellent quality free play and planned activities, led by lively and imaginative playworkers. |
Where are we?
Although the Children's Centre shares a site with the Primary School, it is an independent organisation. Access, however, is via the Primary School entrance. (January 2008: Temporarily housed at Wells Scout Hut awaiting our new building.) Check out main page for further details. There is no off road parking available, but there are few parking restrictions on nearby roads. The school car park is restricted to school staff and school visitors only. There are advantages to sharing the school site, however. Being situated next to the Primary School and Nursery means that children can be collected from their classes by our experienced staff. |
